Hi guys perhaps I asked this in a post already.. but since not many notices it.. i shall ask in this thread,
So.. do anyone knows how much you have to pay for Practical test (TP) day fees? Which includes warm-up(1.5hr), circuit fee and car rental?

I was charged $290SGD and felt its expensive :s11:

I was charge $200 for test and car rental but no warm-up. If with warm-up (1hr) it will be $260. If your warmup is in circuit, I think the price is fine.

Manual or auto easy to pass? how much for a private instructor? And how many hours?

That depends. I am not too sure but what I am sure manual car have an extra pedal (clutch).

For private instructors depends on them. They put their own price. Usually manual lessons are cheaper then auto(private not too sure about school). Roughly $30 for manual and $32 (i guess) for auto (road). $60 for manual $64 (? i guess) for auto (circuit).

How many hours you need depends on yourself. Some people might just need 10hours while others needed more. Go for the lesson and you will roughly know how much more lessons you need.
Hope that helps 😀

I was charged $290SGD and felt its expensive :s11:

$230 = 200 for car rental + 25-30$ for circuit..
$75 = $45 + 30 for warm up in circuit 1.5 hour
$20 to book TP test

some PDI warm up in circuit they never charge extra $30, don't know how they count also. so your price is ok..

But the usual is $230 for just test alone, no warm up. Yeah its expensive, but what to do .. :( cos got some part of the money is go to insurance for tester and the learner driver.. school is ~$200 for test alone with warm up (but the warm up only 30-45 minutes I think)

Hi guys need help here. Currently learning under one of the instructors Mr Soh assigned and I've got to say he's quite a horrible person. Any good 3A PDI around the east, can share contact? Would really appreciate it

AVOID THIS INSTRUCTOR: Luo Chuan Hup (HP: 9385 0059)

I know the title sounds harsh, but it's for the good of whoever is thinking of going the private route to get his/her license. I wish I could tell you my instructor is great, but he isn't. So the least I could do is to warn everyone else.

CONS:

- He has VERY POOR memory and will not remember your driving progress. Heck, I don't think he recognized my face until at least the 10th lesson, much less remember my name

- He will end your driving lessons 10-15 MINUTES EARLY. He says it's so the next student won't wait, but you're actually paying for his toilet break time. Why should that be on your driving lesson time?

- Not interested in teaching, will make you drive in circles near Gombak stadium (his pickup point) so that you can faster end your lesson (super early, might I add). I had a 1hr lesson with him at 9am. At 9.25am, he wanted me to go back to Bukit Gombak and drive around the estate area so that at 9.45am I can faster drive back to car park. -_____-

- He will refuse to bring you to CCK/Teck Whye area (which could be your test route area). Out of my 15 lessons with him, I've only been to that area once. He claims that the area jams at every time of the day which would lead him to be late for his next lesson. (WHAT?! I live there, and it's only jammed during peak hours. All my lessons are off-peak hours WTF.)

- Very slurred English, cannot understand him sometimes. He also can't understand me sometimes, have to raise my voice for him to hear. Maybe Mandarin-speaking students will have better luck.

PROS:

- He has a car. And you can probably learn from experience with driving the car. Don't expect much from him, though.

Wish I could recommend a PDI but I can only share the bad experience with my only PDI sigh. Sorry guys!
