Thanks in advance

			Thanks in advance
ONG TECK KIAT,this was my pdi before and I found him was a very rude person , he always easily lost his tempter and shout at you aways, there was a scenario like I do stop his car wrongly and he almost hit me .sigh.....he made me lost the driving confidence entirely... for those ppl who is going to think about this PDI, please think about it seriously before you make decision. he usually pick up in bukit gombak MRT station.

YA i called him to ask for quote and time, his attitude was really pangsai
AND it seems like he was rushing me to pay the deposits when i havent even evaluate my options.
OTK doesn't seem like the kind of guy other forum-ers described.
The other bbdc female instructor i wouldnt recommend is Goh Poh Eng.
Confusing instructions mainly.
In the end found a good manual instructor located at cdc.
But he's going to hand me over to another cdc instructor as his car would be scraped at the end of this month.

Ya, he is a bad PDI, I really could not accept that he almost hit me and shout at me like a crazy uncle....all he want just your $$, he usaually let you to have more lessons and charge you....
And I check his passing rate online this year and find that it is very low, no idea why there are many ppl go and find him still.....
Anyway, all the best to the candidates who is learing from him.....
Ong teck kiat is currently my PDI. I do agree he will really screw you up for any mistake that you make. If you think you are going to make a lot of mistakes during your driving, better avoid him.
IDK why he seems to have a tight schedule despite of his bad tolerance towards mistake and tend to flare up easily.
because there are still ppl like u who can tahan him ? haha.. if he was really really bad you would have changed PDI too already.. but if u haven't means maybe he got his own pros and cons.. just that some ppl may not like it
When he kan me for the first time I really felt like changing PDI as I was just merely asking a question.
TBH I seldom make mistake so didn't get a lot from him but when he kan you really is...
IDK how other PDI is, compared to him. But if I were to choose again, probably not him then as he doesn't outline what is your good and bad points about driving and doesn't outline how your progress. I am only sticking to him cos I paid $50 enrollment fees already lol
Not sure also if it is a norm for PDI to just ask you to drive around without tell you what what's in for the day.

I'm currently studying manual with cdc kovan. I have 2 fixed instructors so I bopian have to see their faces for the rest of my lessons. The thing is, the 2 of them are very naggy and like to scold. I admit I'm not a fast learner and I tend to forget details like checking blindspots whenever I execute a turn that is quite difficult. I would appreciate if they could just remind me instead of being heavily sarcastic and say things that make me feel like I'm ****. I feel very stressed learning under them and I dread every lesson.
Additionally, cdc lessons are expensive as fk and even off-peak sessions are $73. I had 15 lessons so far and I'm still stuck at half of module 2. I'm not expecting gold-class service standards but with the sum I'm paying for each lesson, at least try not to belittle and insult your learner.
I'm already reaching my breaking point with these 2 and I feel like changing over to private. I specifically need a patient instructor who doesn't scold much. Searched online and I found two that I'm considering:
Hey there, thanks for the reply!I don't know how cdc kovan works but if you have 2 fixed instructors you probably signed up for ONETEAM? or paying extra for fixed instructor? If that's the case, why not try to request to change instructors first? or quit the ONETEAM system?
As for school lessons being more expensive, it may not be true for everyone. firstly I think you shouldn't judge the length left by the amount of modules left because there are some modules which can be cleared very fast. secondly since you have already taken 15 lessons, even if you changed to private you would most likely have learnt most of the basics and would also be going into the circuit more often to practice (which means $45 + $30) usually which is around same price as the school lesson.
Lastly is that if you pass your TP on the first time for private, you would probably save some money. But if you have to take TP the 2nd or 3rd time with private, you would probably have to end up spending more because most PDIs charge like 50-100$ more for TP test compared to the school (school only $200 + but PDI can be $250-300 or more)
my suggestion is that you should try to ask the customer service counter whether it is possible for you to change instructors or to not have these 2 instructors anymore for your lessons.. I think it is possible
Just asking, subjects I have left are obeisance of traffic rules and regulations, lane change, right turns, u-turn & 3-pt turn, reversing, directional change, vertical/reverse parking, parallel/perpendicular parking, reaction response and reacting to road hazards. Will most of these be conducted in the circuit?
For the TP, may I ask why private costs more? Is it because the warm-up fee and rental of his car is set by him? I think if I go with Azman, I will ask him about the cost first. Thanks for giving me the heads up!![]()
Hi,
I have a good instructor to recommend at east area. Normally pickup at tampines area, but maybe able to negotiate pickup at other areas. PM me for details.
Woah....after reading all your horror stories, looks like its really hard to find a good PDI.
think i'm lucky to a certain extend.
Mine actually work in partnership with another instructor.
Initial lessons are by his partner, lets call him Mr. T
Mr. T, allowed me to drive almost straight away on my first lesson (I did not have any prior experience, totally new to driving), he showed me the basics then let me drive around in a carpark, before asking me to drive outside to the roads...the first lesson was pretty good, he also teach me 3-point turn and basic parking.
After that basically 75% of all the lessons i'm doing parking...parallel and vertical, did not have much driving outside and changing lane (which i'm very weak at), it became very routine.
Most of the time Mr. T, would fall asleep once we reach the carpark and I started doing my parking.........it was quite boring.........but I also became quite good at parking......so not sure if I should be complaining.......
Towards my test, the main PDI, lets call him Mr. O, took over from Mr. T
Boy! it was a world of difference, Mr. O is damn good and he does not take pee breaks (at least not during my lessons anyway, Mr. T pee break quite standard 10-15mins every lesson)
Mr. O is very professional, he explains things very clearly, draws charts and stuff (Mr.T not very good at explain things...)
And I can feel he genuinely wants me to understand and pass my test, because he is very busy sometimes my lesson with him can be late like 10pm to 11pm or 11.30pm but he doesn't mind......
If he had started teaching me earlier I probably wont need to take so many lessons from Mr. T and would have saved some $$$
He teaches Auto, BBDC.
