I don't think need wait 5-6 weeks for TP. I booked mine in 2 weeks. Probably depends on which school, mine was with ssdc though.

saw this thread while actually googling my instructor's name out of curiosity..

i just passed my tp first attempt thanks to the help of my very awesome instructor, uncle Gordon at CDC. Drives a manual silver nissan sunny but think he changing car to the new manual almera soon.. charges 32/hr and only charge 220 for car rental and insurance for tp excluding warmup lessons.. super nice and friendly uncle, provides many insights and pinpoints my weaknesses and bad habits due to illegal driving experience in malaysia :s22: fixes them and gives enough lessons to be familiar with what we're supposed to do for the test.. he's quite chatty or can be quiet depending on how u prefer (always talk nonsense with him while driving cos boring ma) and very respectful of time.. always reaches the coffee house just beside cdc 3 mins before ur lesson starts but always has to take a pee before starting (people old liao..). But because he is very good, usually his schedule very busy so have to book him arnd 2 months beforehand so he can schedule ur slots.. and he schedules ur lessons in a very systematic way. although he might be flipping through his diary and answering texts from students while u're driving, he never fails to guide u through where you're going and somehow manages to pay attention to what you're doing.. he is also fluent in both english and mandarin so no worries about that.. many more good points about him, one of the best if not best instructor that's around.. really grateful i could pass in 1 attempt. :s22: can pm me for his number.

Hi bro!

Thank you so much! Congratulations to you too! I just contacted Uncle Gordon. Unfortunately, he doesn't provide refresher courses cause his schedule is way too packed.

I'm not sure if your friend can start learning exactly after CNY as the last I saw he was already planning and flipping through April/May schedules on my last day of lesson on 18 Jan. But I'll just PM u his number incase you want a friendly, thorough instructor who teaches everything from basics. :)

Best Regards

Hi Bro,

No worry.. Thanks for the pm received will send your best wishes to my friend I think my friend is all right with Apr/May coz he say no hurry as he is Year 1 poly only so still got 2 more year before enlistment so believe by enlistment should manage to get a licence as my friend recently cleared BTT and he also haven't apply PDL nevertheless will send Uncle Gordon contact to him so they could make the necessary arrangement.. Much appreciated!!

For me, I would need to source for other instructor to conduct refresher course anyone could chip in some contact preferably Tampines or CDC is also fine with me.. Thanks in advance!!

Bro, If u happen to drive remember your "P" Plate read other forum member mentioning TP is now very strict on the "P" Plate caught first time fine and warning letter second time unfortunately say licence might be revoked so admin wise better play safe a bit..

Last but not least, Thanks for checking the refresher course with Uncle Gordon for me and my friend on the Class 3 licence.. If I am not mistaken you pass on 18 or 19 Jan right coz u mention your last lesson was on 18 Jan?

Once again, Congrats drive safety and confidently!!

Look forward your reply soon..

All the best!!

Hi bro,

Sorry for the late reply just back from school..

Yeah I believe since is Uncle Gordon recommendation should be fine those good clique mah..My apologies forgot to list clearly,I am actually looking for auto refresher course as my family car is Auto so maybe more relevant to go Auto Refresher. May I trouble you to pm me the 2 PDIs contact for refresher..

I have send Uncle Gordon contact to my friend he say after CNY holidays will liaise with Uncle Gordon directly as probably is coming to long holiday so expecting Uncle Gordon to be busy with those month end batch testees..
Btw, my friend get me to thank you for your help in sourcing instructor for him save his trouble.Haha!!

By displaying prominently "P" Plate I felt drivers are much more forgiving coming to mistake and maybe is also still greenhorn on the road so drivers usually give way and most importantly always on signal in advance to allow drivers know your intention so coming lane change drivers are more willing to let go their accelerator.Hope this do help..

Last but not least, Does you or your family possess a vehicle. No offence ah!!

Look forward to your pm for the auto refresher instructor contact.Much appreciated!!
