Hi, does anyone have review on Chua Soon Seng , SSDC? Want to know how other students feel about his teaching to judge if I have a biased view… negative review btw

I recently passed on my first try after 17 lessons (at least 7 circuit lessons and including the warm up before exam) with 16 demerit points. Sounds like a lot but I scored 14 points in the circuit due to my TP being too big sized and blocking my back window view causing me to not park properly so strike a kerb when I exit the parking lot. But I would say, 2 demerit points on the road was pretty fantastic.

Spent a total of less than 1.6k including my driving test cost.

Before the exam, my driving uncle even told all his driving uncle instructor friends at the coffeeshop “today is her last day coming already”. Such confidence in me hahahaha.

I love my driving instructor.
9.5/10 because I’m paying for classes!
10/10 or even 11/10 if lessons are free.

Hello. Can I know what is the standard practice nowadays. I paid registration fee of $85 to an agent who booked me my first lesson supposed to be on 19th July with this instructor, Edmund Yeo for BBDC. I messaged him and he asked me to deposit $80 pass refund that was all he said. I asked him will he issue a receipt and refund if changing instructor etc. He said np. Then today I asked if I can deposit lesser amount equivalent to a lesson $50. I mean if the purpose of deposit is to ensure student turn up it shouldn't be more than $50. He replied all booked up. I told him I was informed it was confirmed. He said contact your agent and then blocked me. I have not received any reply from the agent, SG Driving Instructor, yet.

Why did you go thru an agent, and not direct to the instructor or school? You asked the instructor if you will be given a refund if you want to change him (instructor)?? What is a pass refund?

I think most of us here either go direct to a private instructor or learn thru the school.

I have been looking for PDI for months and could not find anyone.

That was the only thing he said and he did not elaborate.

I suppose none knows what is standard practice if going through agents like Drive Right Private Drving Lessons and SG Driving Instructor?

wah i just finished my first simulator, went to check booking then the earliest is 1 month later? smh gonna take forever to get a license, a lot foreigners are taking license too.
