My personal experience
Hi all,
Want to share my experience with my ex-PDI. This is my personal opinion based on what I went through.
Instructor name: Lim Kwok Ing
Driving Centre: CDC Ubi
Verdict: not recommended
I signed up with him and paid enrollment fee. Each session payment is paid on the spot.
My reasons:
1. Not trustworthy. He disappeared after 3 lessons. Didn't return my calls nor SMSes, wasting money I already paid to him and also my time. I was never late to his lesson and followed whatever his instructions, so I don't know why.
2. He didn't teach anything during lesson. 90% of the time he was on the phone and not even looking at my driving or at the road. Maybe I'm not some pretty girls, as I saw another review of him saying that he likes to make sexist remarks about his female students
Bottom line, I felt I was cheated, but then there's noone I can complain to, so I'm sharing here so that people can make more informed decision.

Did you manage to find any pdi yet?
I've been looking for one since late last year but the ones I found did even bother to reply to my queries. The good one I found can only do weekdays morning and afternoon, which I can't cause of work.
It seems that SSDC class 3 PDI is quite hard to find.

BEWARE LIM BOON SENG FROM BBDC!!!!
IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO LEARN FROM LIM BOON SENG OR KNOW ANYBODY ELSE WHO IS GOING TO, PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE ANY MORE MONEY IS BEING WASTED!!!
Was referred to this instructor by one of my friends whom he then was currently learning from, figured it wouldn’t go so bad, private if pass first try can save more. But I WAS WRONG.
He has quite a few instructors under his wing, and he randomly assigns a different instructor to you every lesson. Most of these instructors are either not serious or not proficient in teaching. They don’t teach jackass, always late and fall asleep inside the car. I keep reading the reviews written here and some of them are so RELATABLE…
He has a HORRENDOUS attitude and I honestly don't understand why he has so many students (apparently, he’s gotten quite rich from doing this shady-ass con job). When I asked him what to watch out for in TP tests, he sent me some of his half-**** own-written broken-english notes, expect me to read and internalize them? I told him I can't understand all these, and he replied "You stupid or what? Everyone also can understand why you cannot understand?". I then asked him if he could send me the score rubrics/scoresheet that the TP testers used (because none of the instructors knew and taught me), he asked me to go "find myself". After around 13 lessons, he already started calling me to pressurise me to take the TP test already. At the point of time, I didn’t understand why he was rushing but on hindsight it was probably his technique to suck out more money from us. This is because we have a higher change to fail the test and they will earn more (he charges $450 for each retest, which is a hefty amount compared to others)
For my first TP test, I SPECIFICALLY instructed him to let me know about the test date and time before he booked because I know he CONFIRM PATTERN. And guess what, he SCREENSHOT THE TEST DATE ON BBDC WEBSITE AFTER HE BOOKED THE TEST FOR ME, ZERO HEADS UP!!!!!!!! IT WAS THE LAST SLOT FOR THE DAY AND IT OBVIOUSLY WAS A BAD TIMING BECAUSE THE ROAD WILL SURELY BE CROWDED. SOMEMORE THE DATE WAS JUST 1.5 WEEKS AFTER HE SENT ME, I HAVEN'T EVEN WENT FOR A SINGLE CIRCUIT LESSON!!! I was honestly speechless, but I was optimistic that I could still maybe go for a shot. I frantically asked around my friends about what to watch out for the TP test, and none of them were ever taught to me before (Eg blind spot checks, engine braking, need to do safety checks before parking, inside circuit need to adjust mirror after doing parking etc…)
However, I still failed that TP test. I called him told him I accumulated quite a lot of points. He told me "Nvm send me the scoresheet I see how can I help" And next thing you know what. He SENDS THAT CHUNK OF HIS NOTES AGAIN, NOTHING ELSE. I was honestly despaired. Soon after I messaged him asking about the booking of extra lessons and the next test. No reply. Waited a few more days messaged him again. No reply. Resorted to calling him, told me he will message me the details. Had to remind him again a few more times before he finally sent me the details.
I can continue rambling endlessly but hopefully this has already deterred you enough from Lim Boon Seng. All in all, DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON HIM. I SERIOUSLY REGRETTED MY DECISION AND I SINCERELY HOPE NOBODY ELSE IS GOING TO FOLLOW MY FOOTSTEPS.
