Anyone used Arcade Plaza Traders (APT) in Raffles Place for money transfer to Malaysia? Are they reliable? Looking to transfer $100k and want to make sure no problems. Also heard of Wise and Instarem but not sure if it is safe to transfer large amount of money.

Use DBS Remit or Maybank lor. You go raffles Place to remit is no difference from Wise and Instarem.

DBS or Maybank rate is poor. APT's rate is better even beating Wise and Instarem. My concern is the safety of the funds as it's a large amount.

I used Raffles Money changer before........quite ok........ Instarem is now valued at 1 billion dollars, so i reckon its ok too.

Wise and instarem allow you to lock in the rate for 3-4 days. So that allows you to time it perfectly. If the rate rises you can lock in at the higher price and cancel the previous transaction. When you do it at the money changer, you have to like go down there at the perfect time, which is difficult.

Instarem is now valued at 1 billion dollars, so i reckon its ok too.

To be fair, if I incorporated a company, issued 1 billion shares, and sold one to you for $1, my company would be valued at 1 billion dollars too.

But yes, Instarem has been pretty great, and I love their execution of the Amaze card so far.

Oh my bad. But still, it doesnt automatically mean the company is now worth 1 billion. It could be just 1 overvalued transaction, like what happened to Berkshire A shares a few weeks back.

but whether that’s perceived by others to worry 1bil diff story

Dash, Instarem, Revolut are 3 services that I use, besides the usual money changers.
