If you create a local account, do you still need to change password?

its a local admin account, but every 2 weeks the password will expire. I tried using methods from online forums, like typing stuffs in cmd. it shows password expiry = unlimited

yet it still expires!

Alternatively goto start -> run -> secpol.msc
Look for something called password policy.
Change the settings there.

Try this if all else failed:

Go to all app>run, rightclick on the "Runs" then select "Run as Administrator". At the command prompt, type the line below then hit Enter key

net accounts /maxpwage:unlimited

Note: You can check the current setting before you change the password setting by typing net accounts at the command prompt. You can verify the change by typing net accounts again at the command prompt.
