repair or not

long story short, i have a broken AOC Monitor its cracked on the inside.

should i contact Distro for repair or just throw it away ( Used for 2 years and 7 Months.)

it a sub $100 monitor --->

i am sure warranty don't cover cracks?

ouch... but from the looks of it just replacing panel will fix it

sub-100 monitor.... call distro and ask how much to replace

more than 50% not worth it.... but i'm sure you can sell it (for a few dollars) for spare parts... idk who buys it though

damn got to agree with dreadknight, even though swapping the panel might solve your issues, but to me the repairs isn't cheap though, if the product is discounted and no more spare parts left for repairs.

u might as well get a new one to replace

I think just check how much it is to replace it, if too much might as well chuck or sell for parts.

if you can spend the money, I reckon you should buy a better and bigger(provided you have space like 24"-27") monitor w/ better resolution(1920x1080 = FullHD).

I don't think repairs will be cheap either plus you got to find a place where they can replace the same panel...etc. pretty hard to do.

If you really budget can consider getting Used ones.

Screen/Panel is the most expensive part of a monitor/tv. There is no way to repair a cracked screen so Distro will need to replace the screen and usually that cost more than 50% of the entire monitor.

Hardly ever is it worth it to replace a cracked screen.

Shop for a new monitor.
