Repairing charger cable?

Hopefully this is the right place to ask this.

It seems that the cable coming out of my Surface Pro charger is damaged (maybe bent around too many times). Anyone knows where I can repair this for a good price? A brand new charger costs quite a lot

If is not toward the end probaby can cut off and rejoin the wire again...and then put a shrink tube over it so it will not bend that much.. i do that for iphone cable..

I think repair by yourself can be done if u dun mind to try.. from the look it like is already very near to the adaptor liao so probably need to open up the adaptor .. for now is better not to use it as if the wires is being exposed it can cause fire, personally see my iphone cable burn cuz of too much bending here n there.

Must find a electrical repair shop, probably need to open up desolder, cut the damage section and resolder it. Then u can go buy thick shrink tubeput near to the bend it always bend.

Can be done if you know what you are doing...

Cant be just cable break due to bending or etc i go buy new 1 mah.. so usually i self repair cut/ join/ solder.. most of the time will have no issues... unless is like those pcb board/ resistor/ transformer etc i either do a swap on same model or just send to shop and to repair...

I would avoid repairing anything involving electrical wires.

IIRC it's about $80 to $100 for the adapter. I don't think repairing will be that much cheaper. Just buy a new one if you do not wish to DIY.

If I were you, I just buy a new one.
Even if you fix it, it may still break or worse leak current.

There's this rubber paste in a tube that you can buy in the hardware shop. It will take some time to cure and it's as good as anything else. My colleague did this.

I think it's called Sugru glue

I don't need it urgently as I have another 3rd party charger, but would like to get this one fixed nonetheless.

I got it fixed at Sim Lim square on level 5 cos I was around the area. $20. Works well.

Sure!
I got it fixed at A-Star Computer, #05-05. Didn't try to negotiate cos that was the price I was prepared to pay anyway.

BTW, the shop to the right of this shop quoted me a whopping $65! Although he was kind enough to tell me at first that there was probably no point repairing it.
