Replace hdd with ssd

My hdd spoilt... Now whole computer keep falling to boot. I don't need the space cause I'm not a hoarder.. So, can this work?

Also.. Any recommendations on where to buy a cheap and good one? Challenger buy can or not?

That's not too different from SLS... I sent my desktop in to PC Clinic to have them change for me when my primary boot drive died... same price same capacity with service some more...
