Hello, not an expert but i see that your processor is based on an lga775 socket, so you can look for motherboards with that socket. Should be quite easy if you're looking for secondhand as i think i've seen a few at the market place. Also make sure you look up the motherboard that you intend on buying first because if imt not wrong, although the socket might be the same, some motherboards still dont support certain processors. More experienced bro's can correct me if im wrong.

your processor is already on the high end side for its generation; My suggestion is to sell it, and change the whole set.

I just bought the Gigabyte GA41M Combo as replacement for my Q9500.
Not many choices around for new LGA 775 motherboard other than Biostar and MSI.

You can only use DDR2 OR DDR3 for this board, but not both together...so effectively only 2 ram slots.

Got from Tradepac for about $80+, 3 years warranty for peace of mind.

Btw...there is no usb 3.0 native support for LGA 775 motherboard.

If your system is still working, there is really no point for you to buy a new motherboard. I bought because my motherboard failed, and though my system is considered obsolete, it still has useful life for everyday use and another few more years before the next upgrade.

USB 3.0 support means you need to buy new processor, motherboard and DDR3 ram at the very least.

No. LGA 775 don't not have I5 and I7 CPU.

I suggest u stick with what you have. Otherwise change to a brand new system.

If my memory didn't fail me.I think I5 and I7 CPU start from LGA1156/1155 and 1150 (there are more but that all I can remember all).
