I got infracted for a single word ("dumb") AND my post was removed:
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...insulted-other-s.8143279/#convMessage-8355530
And it was 6 points. Points aside, the infraction was deserved as I shouldn't have stooped so low.
The worrying thing is that mods and admins so far are indicating that it's ok to call worse names AND it's ok to adopt the attitude of calling names as long as the argument is well-reasoned and substantiated.
However, if an argument is well-reasoned and superior, why is there even the need to call names and be proud of it?
If my post was removed because it had nothing of substance and was pure name-calling, I'm sure mods or admins have the ability to edit a well-reasoned post to remove the unnecessary lines so as to increase the signal to noise ratio. A concerning message is being sent to us readers
when even the name-calling is not edited out at the very least.
