Request to investigate for wrongful ban

Hi mods/admins,

I understand from a friend of mine, benbenboi89, was issued a permanent ban. The reason given is that he's a clone, as shown on the screenshot below.



I can assure you that he's definitely not a clone and this is the only account he has.

Would greatly appreciate you guys to help look into this wrongful ban.

Hi mod, would like to highlight to you that the reason of his PBan was due to "clone", as shown in the screenshot.

If you're talking about his posting history, I think that should be another case file to look into.

There were complaints about members (both present and banned) having clones. The team will investigate action where necessary.

Of course, if it was a genuine case, we would reverse the ban. But we do not just ban without doing due checks. That includes, as sCuzzZy mentioned, past posting history.

In any case, if your friend has emailed to the admins, they shall settle the case. Since they don't work on weekends, we will likely have to wait till next week.

I thought sCuzzZy was replying to SaGu's post about bebenboi89's post history as judging whether he has broke the forum posting rules rather than checking whether he's a clone or an original account. That's why I was saying that should be another case file to look into if SaGu felt they were offensive posts from his perspective.

I can't help to think that the involved admin/mod might have been too hasty to issue the ban this time. But it should be a genuine mistake from your team but that's fine, everyone makes mistakes from time to time and moderating forums is not an easy job at all.
