Request to Re-Open Thread

Hi Mods,

Appreciate it if you could reopen the thread:

It deals with numerous topics of public interest, namely:

1. Road traffic laws
2. Sexually transmitted diseases
3. Exposure of loved ones to illness
4. Rich-poor class divide
5. The definition of cyberbullying, and whether cyberbullying may be justified in certain instances

Allowing forum members to debate such matters in a free and open manner would help HWZ to grow and mature as a community.

I'm sorry, I just saw this.

The threads were removed. Because in the midst of witch hunting/CSI with your pitchforks, you guys have gotten the wrong person. Innocent parties are getting harassed (well, unless the moderating team got lied to and got cheated but I think it's better to be safe than sorry.)

So, before it escalates to a police report or legal. I thought it was appropriate for the thread to be removed instead of being closed.

Hence the reason for why your threads are magically being removed.

Yup, CSIs can indeed go horribly wrong when the wrong person is arrowed. speedzbmw's name is also a pretty common, so I can see a chance of this being such a situation.

That said, I think there's also a good chance that the mods have been lied to. If his responses were anything to go by, he is a vile, vile creature who would resort to anything to get his way. Still, better for the mods to err on the side of caution I guess.

Would like to apologise if my posts offended you or any other mod - just that it was perplexing to see them being deleted/locked without rhyme or reason.

PetPet, I understand that you are busy with school (I am a university student myself), thus I don't think it should fall on you to take such an active role in moderating EDMW. The other mods have to buck up and pick up some of your slack - they don't seem to be doing much at all.
