Hi All,

Would like to gather some advice regarding a simple project I am doing.
Is there a way to display CCTV sets onto 4 TV Monitors all separately but from 1 PC.
Also when I want to enlarge 1 of the many cctv to cover all 4 screens, can it be done?

One you can have multiple monitor setup with one or more graphic cards that can give you multiple desktops. Depending on how your CCTV app is designed, if it can be split into multiple windows, you can position one window in each desktop of the each monitor.

Another way is to get 4 identical monitors and piece them together and have some sort of a video splitter ? Seriously not an expert in this area, where you can a single video output span across multiple screens, then just position it properly on the single desktop and it should be found different monitors. This setup just require 1 graphic card with 1 video out, but the resolution will be as high as the graphic card can output for 1 monitor.

Your CCTV monitoring is done by a computer program I suppose?

For graphics cards which you can use. Possibly either ATI's firestream or Nvidia Quadro line which will support 4 displays out.

Those GPU cards can span displays either horizontally, vertically or 4 together as 1 big box display.

Then the rest is up to the CCTV program as to whether it allows multiple windows, spanning and such.

If you want the more low tech solution you can do video splitting, but that's kind of moot.
