The buddy price must be in same batch?
yes unfortunately needs to be in the same batch.

do let me know if you would consider batch 273! its less taxing, only 2 weekday nights per week. perfect for working adults without the need to touch the weekends! anyway the next exam is only in april next year (current classes wont be in time for nov exams).. so no need to chiong finish the lessons.

When I was preparing for the Apr 2022 exam, I did not see much reviews on courses/revision questions. So I thought I'd share some of my thoughts for anyone who may be interested. Feel free to share your experience as well!

RES Course - RCN Real Centre Network at Tampines
Pros
- Engaging instructors, one was from the corporate real estate industry and another is an RES
- Zoom classes, convenient, did not have to travel down
- Ppt with additional reading materials provided

Cons
- Not everything in the reading materials and ppt were updated with the latest regulations. Although for the ppt, the instructor will mention the items that were changed. If you missed the class, you would not know.

Revision materials - Mdm Celeste
Pros
- Extensive question bank for testing your knowledge
- SAQ and case study is quite similar to the exam
- Updated with latest regulations
- Mdm celeste was also on a telegram chat group to clarify any questions, very nice and helpful

Cons
- Quite a couple of confusing questions with weird sentence structures
- MCQs were not very similar to the exam questions

Revision classes by estate agents
- I attended 2 of the free online zoom revision classes organised by the estate agents
- Most of the questions were from Mdm Celeste. Generally would not recommend unless you have completed your revision and super free

Actual exam
No question bank will be able to cover the type of questions in the exam since CEA does not release past year papers. The sample questions on the website would be the closest you can get. If you have a friend who took it before, its best to hear from them the type of questions that came out.

1. Application of knowledge
Majority of the questions in Section A are all mini case studies or scenario based and test your application. You have to read the questions and options VERY CAREFULLY. There were no straight forward questions like "Buyer's lawyer will lodge a caveat when ______"

2. Start with Section B and C, memorise full words not just abbreviations
One of the instructors recommended working on Section C and B first. I think that is a good suggestion given that these sections carry 2 marks per question. For SAQ, they will also ask you for full spelling so gotta memorise what is INLIS, REALIS etc.

3. Work on calculations questions first
There were also quite a couple of questions which require you to compute stamp duty and property tax rates. I recommend working on these first as they require you to read the question carefully and also to apply the correct rates. Best to work on these when your mind is fresh, otherwise when you reach the last 10 questions, your mind is already very shag, tire puncture, more prone to careless mistakes.

Overall thoughts
** Join telegram chat group so you can also learn from others. Most importantly go to all the websites, HDB, URA, SLA, IRAS, CEA etc. and also read the COS, PSM etc. etc.

Overall I took about 1 month to study on weekday nights and weekends. If I could turn back time, I would probably finish revising the notes sooner and spend more time on doing question bank + reading the websites.

Disclaimer: I'm just a first timer, may not be the expert at the exam but just my humble view lah.
I just sign up with life master academy, but got the wrong date, but their service stuff damn attitude, is the lecturers any good?
