U 1st transport NSF or nsmen unit?
I suspect u could be transferred to a new unit

Anyway ict usually first week is prep and is stay out ... So is pretty safe not to bring FBO on first day

The norm is usually on technical handling time... Will check FBO at the same time.... I believe there will be a time table if the clerk is working

Then you'll be the driver for one of the company under 1 FCSSB. First week is usu refresher course plus prep for outfield.

Driver is put under a different FG from the rest of the coy.
U won't meet the rest of the people until force prep.

That was my experience. First 4 days didn't see the drivers. Only on 5th day when the vehicles rolled into the coy line then saw them.
At that point in time, we were doing force prep for outfield. Loading of tonners with outfield stores.

Yup, driver usu will be attached out to do their own vehicle refresher driving course and will only report back to coy line for force prep after that.

Haha. Not true. They have made improvements over the years. Back in 2013 when I first started going there, it was horrible. We were getting 1 or 2 bars. And sometimes GPRS signals.

NSmen heavily utilize KC3. Not surprised that KC3 eventually got more upgrades etc.

The camp gates are different.

For Camp 2, it is the one nearer to Yew Tee MRT (opposite blks 60X) while for Camp 3 the gate is further up opposite blks 67X.

Still remembered when I served my active service in Camp 2 during the mid-2000s the old 2GDS buildings were still there and camp 3 was still under construction back then. And during that time 41SAR and 4SAB were in Kranji Camp 2 back then. Now like no more armour units there if not wrong.

And the area where Kranji FCC is currently at was the officer mess in which it was only opened during special events/celebrations like unit's CNY celebration dinner etc.

It's Crunchy Camp 3, not oil field (yew tee). Don't worry. Very relaxed. Everyday got food to eat.

1TPT guys could be posted to either the various variants of CSSB or GSTB. This is the most common as CSSB and GSTB is viewed as an evergreen battalion (not everyone starts their ICT cycle and MR at the same time).

Or they could be posted to the unit they were ops tag to during their active NSF days (if applicable).

Or they could be utilized to fill up gaps in the units that have transited from active to NS stage.

For me gsmb... I was the original gsmb MTline then after a while some 1st transport join the evergreen battalion

Because nowadays no more original battalion MT line... So 1st or whatever transport are like orphans

GSMB morphed to become 1AMB. I heard there are more changes and the maintenance vertical might change drastically.

Also, they consolidated most of the transport assets so typically a few MT lines are under transport nodes, which is more of an active asset and not a NS.

Now most of the 1st TPT goes to the list I’ve shared (1) GSTB, (2) CSSB, (3) previously OPS tagged unit, or (4) one of the NS units (can be quite a wide range) that have gaps. So their experience might be like lost sheep for their the first ICT if it’s 1, 2, or 4 above. 3 is still not so bad cause you come back with familiar faces.
