anywhere depending on your vocation. check NS.sg portal for your posting .. but unlikely to get any posting until few years after ORD. Otherwise if you know a unit you like to join, you need approach their S1/s8 to join them.

did you finish you BSLC / (SCS)? If so, usually end up as Sect Comd or best, specs in S1-S4.

think u belong to the NSPC Holding List, meaning that u aren't in any Unit.

double check on your NS portal for IPPT requirement. doubt u are required to take any IPPT and chances are that u will not be called-up for any manning or ICT.

But be prepared for Mindef to give u a notification out of the blue in the years to come. My advise to u is just to take note on NS news and matters to stay updated.

Nowaday, they can easily throw you into one of the cssb unit where all the rojak people serve their ICT.

OT abit but still a reservist question.

if your reservist period coincide with your employment 1 month notice, will company count into your 1 month notice?

e.g 1 month notice is 1 aug to 1 sept. reservist is 16 aug to 30 Aug

depends on your company policy

So far I see most company practice to release employee before their ICT date (Eg: 15 Aug for your case).

Then Company do not needs to pay you extra (in term of CPF & etc) and do not needs to do Make-Up Pay claim for you.

can I just find out if the "most company" also refers to large MNC?

Depends on your company whether to go by right or by left.

It is stated in MOM website under Special situations during the notice period, that Reservist training is not considered as part of the notice period.

http://www.mom.gov.sg/employment-practices/termination-of-employment/termination-with-notice
oh yes that too. However, I think that is more like a clarification to prevent dispute. I don't think there's anything that's stopping the company from counting the reservist period if they don't need you to extend notice period.

Also it's only meant for people covered Employment Act. If you are not covered by Employment Act, then maybe it may not be relevant to you.

Please re-read again. Since when I say & TS ask 'all' companies? My English is not good but at least I know the meaning of 'all' & 'most'.

Can you clarify that these are based on what you have seen and not all companies unless you have somehow seen all companies.

Can HWZ Forum promote someone here to be an appointment of a moderator/investigator/debater rather than "High Supremacy Member" (sadly only under NS thread topics only) ?
