Anybody know if reservist is ongoing now?

I am slated to go for overseas exercise in late Nov-early Dec, hoping it gets cancelled tbh.

I only know that those ICTs that involved in critical duty like island defence are ongoing, not so sure about the others.

I also have ICT on early Nov but so far no news of it being cancelled. Also I don't think that there will be any overseas exercise unless really necessary.

very unlikely to have overseas ICT this period,
my guess is either change to local or just cancel altogether

pretty sure if go overseas during this period for reservist. it will be in a bubble. so don't need to quarantine.

need quarantine.

21 days quarantine in total.

Prior to arriving in Australia, RSAF servicemen will spend seven days in self-isolation.

They will also have to take a Covid-19 test 48 hours before they arrive in Australia.

Upon arrival, they will be quarantined for 14 days at specially prepared hotel accommodation in the Darwin area that will be secured and managed by the Australian Defence Force.

yea new article. just saw

think it will be status quo with the SMM and swabbing and quarantine still in place one bah

Australia and or New Zealand just come out of the 2nd or 3rd surge of Covid cases

the last thing they want is to let down guard
another wave come in

what's SMM?

I was thinking more of the perspective of, if they are travelling in a bubble without any contact to the outside world as they will likely be outfield, technically that itself is a quaratine?

Some people are sad to have it cancelled though. Cause it’s free holiday to them

I find the testing of nsmen for covid at start if ict very stupid move.

so during the window period of 24-48 hours from testing and result released, are the nsmen suppose to stay in camp (ie cannot book out)?

if one of them is tested positive, does the whole lot of nsmen from same
unit needs to be confine in camp for 14 days?

mindef should release more info in regards to this.
