hi everyone,

when i restart my pc, the process stops at the rebooting part. Like lights are there but the screen shows nothing(im not sure if it actually rebooted cos i think i dont hear some common startup sounds)

similar scenario occurs when i shut down, if i immediately turn it on it will be at that stage again, lights on, fans running but no screen. (this is solved by me coming back like 10min later all will be ok)

PS: those windows update prompt restart always nid to siam, as with all other restart prompts. actually not say very big prob la just abit curious why like that

Try going to your BIOS and check the boot priotity. I had this issue once and it turns out that my boot priority was set to my dvd drive instead of my ssd.

Try these 2:
1. Reset BIOS to default and ensure boot drive is WD
2. Scan hard disk with HDTune for bad sectors.

alright, i went to my bios and saw my hard drive at option 1, dvd at option 2 and option 3 is disabled. so i disabled option 2 and left with one option, my hdd. is that done right? But the same thing happened when i save changes and reset...(lights on, fans on, no beep, no screen)

i also scanned with hdtune and was fine, no bad sectors.

any clues?
