Hi all, i recently just ORD-ed and is seriously considering to retake A Levels as a private candidate this year.

I read up on a few other threads regarding the retaking of A Levels but they were mostly topics of retaking A Levels during NS with little mention of retaking A Levels after NS. So I created an account to try to find out as I have a few questions.

My subject combis is h2 econs, math, chem and h1 phys.

Firstly, I sat for the 2015 A levels so the syllabus changed and I have to retake my SPA. Does anyone know what exactly happens when you retake SPA as a private candidate? Since I am not registered under any institutions, where would they allow me to take the examinations at? MDIS prep course had already started in Jan so that isn't a viable choice and I don't really want to take the 16 months course in July. Does MDIS provide SPA lessons and examinations separately?

PS: if anyone is kind enough to donate their notes to me, i would greatly appreciate it!

Hope this will encourage u.

My friend bombed his As - literally straight Es for PCM. No option to disrupt and retake. Post ORD, he ‘converted’ his H2s to Econs, Math and Business (this happened a while ago), self studied cramming 2 years syllabus into 4 mths for the 2 new subjects. He ended up scoring straight As.

It can be done.
