Well, I hear this sinkies cannot afford to buy rather often here and there. Yet the sinkies around me seem to be buying vigorously. You could be the vocal minority. I am just saying.....

Old wealth bro. Some who profited from their en bloc. Go talk to the younger sinkies. Those in 30s who got a bto but wanted to upgrade. Alot just cannot afford to buy. A $1.8 million condo is just out of reach of average sinkies whose combined HHI is only median $8k and that includes CPF.

your suggestions is akin to "be happy with what you have", "be present" etc. but that means you don't allow yourself to seek out new experiences or opportunities.

may be when i become older & not as nimble, will tryout your zen-like lifestyle. but definitely not now.

thanks for your suggestions :)

You can sit down, have a cup of tea, read a book and find it interesting. It's just a mentality that singaporeans doesn't know how to derive pleasure from everyday life, everything is just "boring".
