Retrenched and Private diploma

I’m a 40 year old with only N level. Worked as IT related job for 8 years and was retrenched end of last year.. Had been looking for jobs for months but rejected due to qualifications, most company gave the reason saying they need at minimum least diploma. I was thinking to take a private online diploma from psb as it takes 9 months but wasn’t sure if it will helps in future. Right now at the moment, i need to do anything to help me to secure a job as I had a family to feed and support. Anyone in similar situation or any advise? Thanks
