Retro gaming need discrete GPU?

If playing old games dating back 5 to 10 years ago, is integrated graphics enough?

Resolution maybe 900p or 1080p only.

Or still must get discrete GPU. then must be how good? $150 entry level one, or $300 mainstream GPU?

5 years back people will be using nvidia 400 series card and amd 5000 series.

Back then those games were like crysis 2/3, battlefield 3, witcher 2 etc.

Those era you still need a gpu to run it now. A gtx1050/ti should be able to handle those games easily. Or the r7 360.
