Hi all, I am dropping out of NUS.
I disrupted from national service with six months remaining, does anyone know whether my balance of service will be topped up to a year or remain as is?

I was told that it is topped off to one year for non short periods eg. Periods more than say three months

No. You have to serve 6 months and they won't extend your national service. Don't worry about that.

u will only need to serve the same duration as your disrupted period.
