How many of you guys still do video converting? Hahaha. I guess most players can play almosy anything you find online. It's true not many people from here would appreciate this AIO but it would be good to buy for your parents or sisters who can use it for casual gaming and facebook.

I gonna do a PC mark benchmark let's compare the scores.

UPDATE [Review] ASUS ET2221

Hey peeps
I'm back with an impressive updated AIO from Asus. It’s the ET2221 Model with the latest Intel 4th i5-4430S and GT720M 1GB. I had the pleasure of playing with this beauty. It retains the sleek and elegance from its older brother the ET2220 but it packed more punch with its upgraded components. Let's see my unboxing skills. Its pack with an eco-friendly box that's made of 80% post-consumer materials and the box is definitely 100% recyclable cardboard. The AIO is packed neatly inside the box and with a gentle nudge it slides out slowly. Wrapped in some kind of protective wrapper to prevent any damage to the touch screen panel while it's being transported.

The wireless mouse and keyboard are the standard ASUS pair which is sleek and well-spaced but the keyboard lack the height that I'm used to compared to a standard keyboard.

I really like the big 21.5" full HD led display; the colour is vibrant and impressive. Watching movies and shows on this screen in the comfort of my room would be such a joy. The display can be tilted from 16° to 45° for viewing or touching comfort.

Maybe I can play some touch sensitive game and tilt the screen lower so that my hand won't be so tired from hovering in the air. The stand is sturdy and strong and looks cool as well. It can be used to as a handle to carry it around the house.

The GPU is powered by NVidia GeForce GT 720M which has 1 GB of DDR3 memory and from the specs it's up to 3.3x faster than Intel HD 4000 which means it can process video and images with lesser loading times and can support up to 2560x1600 resolution. It supports Microsoft DirectX 11 with Shader model 5.0. I think it's quite impressive.

Paired with the ASUS SonicMaster technology to take care of the sound with good quality built-in speakers which fills my room quite loud. It quite good coming from an AIO stereo 5W each. Playing music is lovely too. Sometimes I like to stream music from soundcloud and the quality of the sound doesn't defer much from standalone speakers. The camera remains the same as 2.0 megapixel which I can use for Skype or chatroulette

If you can see from the rear of this AIO it comes with an array of ports behind for easy access for input or outputs. HDMI-out for connecting another monitor or TV or even HDMI audio. For the HDMI-in it's for connecting maybe an Xbox to use this AIO as a TV.

If you intend to use it as a TV, it's VESA compatible to be mounted on the wall or inside your cabinet. But there's no TV remote to control the volume or off the screen or adjust the settings. But it can be adjust manually from the left side panel. There are a few settings to play around.

The big button on the right is obviously the on/off button. I have accidentally off it a few times while adjusting the screen angle. I should change the function of it to maybe standby or sleep mode instead of shutdown. It has a nice design that the sound is located at the bottom of the screen and there's a tiny indicator of the AIO running light.

I think the ASUS ET2221 is a great AIO to have at home for sharing with the family. It's fast enough for gaming for boys in the house and also it's good for video processing for the creative side. The full 1920X1080 touch screen is great and the paired with Windows 8.1 is quite nice. It doesn't use much energy and maybe you could wall mount it and use it as a digital photo frame. It would be a great idea to integrate it with a smart home automation.
