Cut some slacks ah guys. People chose to take time to share and do a write up. Not easy.

Although pricing may be on a high side, just enjoy what is shared instead. Hopefully not bashing our bro Geforce here.

When you call out someone, make sure you have hard proof and not circumstancial evidence. And when proven wrong, apologise.

Well agree, write up takes time. Really is word of mouth and bros encouragement to keep the sharing spirit up. Without sic and poison threads there will be far less amount of discussions.

It's not like OCN etc where the community is far larger and people are more zealous in making owner/discussion topics and maintain them for rep or whatever.

Some other bros around also always sic new hoots otherwise us people can't attain nirvana just by going SLS :s13:

On the monitor though, hope the prices are more reflective of current tech. Since AU Optronics has made newer and better panels like those on the AW gsync ultrawide (woops LG)!

The review is good. But I do agree this is on the pricey side, though nothing surprising then it comes to Asus.

Wonder who in the right mind will pay this kinda dough for an old panel coupled with **** support. So glad I got the Alienware despite the price tag coupled with great support from Dell. The new X34P is also a good consideration which costs less than the Dell. Asus definitely not a choice at all given the price and age of this model.

And the curve is definitely aggressive on the Dell @1900R. Can't beat the Samsung one at 1500R though.

I measure and PM you tomorrow. Just landed after business trip. Please give me more details on which depth you're exactly looking at. Cheers!

Qoo10... with the right coupons.

mine is x34a (cheaper version now).

latest is x34p

if you don't need all the jingles from x34p, x34a @ $999 https://www.qoo10.sg/item/ACER-PREDATOR-X34A-CURVED-IPS-NVIDIA-G-SYNC-GAMING-MONITOR-21/443371122

To kiddykiong :

I would rather you spend $100-200 more for X34p.
I got mine at 1.1k.

X34p has a refined panel of the x34, it has higher refresh rate, generally lesser BLB and glow, no coil whine after overclocking and more curve.

Of course x34p has its own QC issues too, but Acer support is good. (better than samsung lol)

Edited : 800-900, is during 11.11 - 12.12 period, I don't think you can get that kind of price now lol

i agree

but if you don't need the jingles from X34p, x34A is damn decent. Similar specs, asus selling 1.6k

Pay extra 800 for the Asus rgb logo.
Mlmlwml.

XB271HU vs the Asus equivalent: Pay more for Asus, get worse product in every single way from panel version, stand quality, RTC overshoot to response time. Want to say nice things conscience also don't let me.

$239 difference, ah should I. X34p is 1.21k and x34a is 999
not counting gift cards and cash backs

Yup I got this as well. Was deciding between this and Asus one, the panel on this is so much better.
