For those who are still using RT-AX88U, especially those who like many LAN ports, here is a real upgrade (compared to RT-AX88U Pro or GT-AX6000): Asus China RT-BE88U, at RMB1999.

Unlike RT-AX88U Pro or GT-AX6000, RT-BE88U has 10 network ports. It has also a faster CPU and supports China WiFi 7 standard (no 6GHz band support, no 320MHz channel bandwidth, with MLO and 4096 QAM support, etc).

Asus China Product Page for RT-BE88U.
https://www.asus.com.cn/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-be88u/

WiFi 7 (802.11be) (2.4GHz): up to 1376 Mbps
WiFi 7 (802.11be) (5GHz): up to 5764 Mbps

处理器
2.6GHz 四核处理器
内存
256 MB Flash 和 2 GB 内存 DDR4

接口
1 x 10Gbps for WAN/LAN,
1 x 10Gbps SFP+ for WAN,
1 x 2.5Gbps for WAN/LAN,
3 x 2.5 Gbps for LAN,

Unlikely to have a true WiFi 7 ot RT-BE88U. Basically RT-BE96 seems to be the lowest end WiFi 7 router from Asus in the near future.

Reference from master maylyn.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/wifi-7-routers.6905228/page-12
From the understanding from the roadmap that has been make known. ASUS TW currently have no plans to inject another WiFi 7 router after ASUS RT-BE96 as the highest tier and ASUS ROG GT-BE98 is their ROG gaming series with triple gaming acceleration, AiProtection Pro, dual 10Gbps ports, 4x2.5Gbps ports etc.

Unless ASUS decided to go towards Qualcomm for their WiFi 7 solutions.

As for mesh wise, there is ASUS ZenWiFi BQ16 as contender for WiFi 7.

As for business orient wise, there is ASUS ExpertWiFi for it.

Interesting.

Looks like we would not see cheaper WiFi 7 routers from Asus then (below S$800), probably the same for Netgear and Linksys.

TP-Link seems to be the early winners for consumer WiFi 7 routers, at least in Singapore.

Not possible  but our specifications and performance are far superior than our competitors. Even the CSA certification got more stars
