Just tried paying for my MRT ride using Revolut debit card, but when I check within the app, it just shows "Bus/MRT -S$0.10". Is this normal and expected? Have to wait a bit longer for the actual sum deducted to be shown? How long would it take for the actual fare to show up?

mastercard always always posted once every 5 days consolidated. the 10c is an authorisation charge on day 1 and will not reappear again within the 5 days, eventually it will be returned/refunded

thanks all, I see…will wait for 10 (or 15?) days and check again

another question:
I’m the type that would put the physical card in a slot behind my iphone case to tap in/out. I realise it’s a hassle with Revolut debit card, because it just triggers the app and then I’ve got to open up using my thumbprint or passcode. I tried to deactivate contactless, but still doesn’t work. Any idea if there’s anyway to prevent this? Other than just taking out the card for tap in/out?

It is not a problem of Revolut or any other card. Throw your iPhone away. The reader has no idea which card you will use, the physical card or your iPhone. You have to remove one of the possibilities for the reader to charge.

Then why not just add it to your e-wallet? My Revolut card has never left my house.

Quite poor form of Revolut to change the requirement halfway and not notify via email/SMS.
I think it's great that they're giving us a rebate far above other cards (next best is probably UOB EVOL or SC Smart, at almost 1/3 the rebate).

They're giving us over a month to comply with the new requirement too. It's not like they changed the requirement halfway into the month.

We have the entire month ahead to deposit the increased amount, how do you know they don’t already have a prepared email announcement waiting to click send on 1 June instead of confusing people now in May? I can imagine the type of customer who only reads headlines and panic thinking the higher requirement starts this month.
