but often with a surcharge.

Australia does not seem like credit cards.

was never charge surcharge once in places accepting cards, in my trip to perth in july.

the landscape for cards in aussie is pretty card-friendly, even certain market stalls (fruits, vegetables) accepts cards.

I was charged credit card surcharges in airport.

Even Qantas/Jetstar website charges credit card surchages if I am not wrong.

Do you get the mesaage to change pin before the withdrawal? I tried that in Taiwan ATm and keep asking this ended up I did not draw any.

No message on pin change. Also, Malaysia ATM and cards use 6 digit pins, but i had no problems entering 4 digit revolut pin for Malaysia ATM machines.

The 1% surcharge is quite irritating though, given that most Singaporeans would visit Malaysia only on weekends. Just rem to change before 8 am Sat........

Unable to activate my Metal Revolut card!

Hey guys! I just received my revolut card 2 days ago but the app still shows that the card hasnt been posted so i cant unlock the feature to activate the card.

Talked to support about it and they said to make chip & pin payment to activate but all the terminals declined my card; tried about 5 different places. I told them it didnt work and i asked them to change the status of the card that it already has been delivered or activate it on their end. They kept saying they have a technical issue and is trying to resolve it.

Its been 2 days and they keep telling me the same thing. I mean is it really so difficult to activate a card?? Anyone can help?

Having the same issue for my metal card as well.
From highlighting the issue, it went on the become a source of fund check.
However the matter has yet to be resolved. :(

May be it’s first time logon through ATM, probably I should try to withdraw from local ATM first if that works!

I withdrew from Cathay United Bank in MTR station, no problem. No fee. You can find it easily at any subway station.

The subscription fee so high, worth it meh?

Me too. Don't understand why are ppl paying "annual fee" for Revolut when they chase after waivers on local banks' credit cards.

Is it because can exploit?

I am puzzled too unless they frequently travel and can spend 24k a year overseas.

Telegram group doesn't explain why people are spending $19.99/month for a metal card - the 1% cash back doesn't really explain it.
Maybe they're using the metal card to fund brokerage accounts monthly. Fund 10k can get back 100

For a person who travel regularly it is useful.
If u find it hard to justify for the fee then you doesn't has any need for it. Just stick to standard plan will be good enough
