I was informed by the Revolut chat agent that for Revolut SG accounts, regardless of currency or destination country, transfers out are via SWIFT, including for local SG/SGD to SG/SGD accounts. It is also not eligible for SEPA even if the transfer is in EUR to SEPA-supported countries. That's not very efficient and incurs expensive SWIFT fees.

Revolut doesn't charge any outgoing fees.

For me, I just insert the card to the POS and just press “Enter” button on the POS when it requires to key in PIN

The the Contactless function has been enabled

Just received the card. How to use PIN to make a first payment? By chip or swipe, then it will ask me to key PIN?

Why are you worried about what system Revolut uses? The question should be “what does Revolut charge you?”

Well the incoming fees would also matter if the beneficiary account is either your own or your relations, hence aim is to minimise total fees.

GrabPay prepaid Mastercard
Transferwise

All are targeting the same slightly younger crowd with slightly different messaging...people who value good FX rates, instant control and notification of their tx, and limited exposure in case of loss of cards/accounts as compared to debit/credit cards.

There are interesting things that can be done. Things like transfer money from card to card easily, tight integration with mobile... Tx at fingertips...

Overall, because of top up nature and mobile integration, users have a first hand experience over their finances and their flow, as compared to a credit/debit card experience where one just keeps swipping and accumulate points and transactions don't often appear until few days later.

Love it.

I got enroll into Revolut, topped up $20 and requested for a physical card.

However it doesn't stop you from requesting additional physical card? So we can have 2 or more physical cards?

Yes the name printed is your Full Name as per your account details. I had to request the in-app help to change my account name to my Preferred Name and they cancelled my ordered (but not shipped) card and had the card re-ordered in order to ensure my Preferred Name is the one that printed.

in-app help as in the ChatBot? I tried but not responding leh. :s22:
