RGB Header missing ?

Hi all,

Bought a LED strip to brighten up my casing.
Cant seem to find the RGB header on MOBO to connect the strip to as per instructed on the product cover. Am using Gigabyte GA-Z270-HD3 Motherboard. Am i missing something here ?

How do i check ? I read the manuals, did not mention at all.
If i just wanna power it up without controlling the colours, is there any way ? Molex to psu direct ?
looks like you've gotten a board that does not have a RGB header inbuilt.

you'll need to get a controller that can be molex powered and plug the strip from there to be controlled via the remote.

You bought the non Gigabyte Auros gaming motherboard. And it has no RGB feature on display. so Yup. No RGB for you. Only for GAMING mobos

Can go carousel find, should have ppl sell de bah. i rmb there was a few dudes on carousel selling all these leds/mod pc de stuff under their computer parts section.

From what i understand, theres 2 variants of the controllers out there. I kena once, bought the 5 pin one but that was not compatible with anything other than the fans that it came with. If u want universal compatibility with 4 pin, must buy the controller that are 4 pins de

There are a few things you can do.. but before any recommendation.. kindly state what kind of LED strip are you having.. is it a 12volt 4pin RGB or 5volts 4pin RGB?

either above mentioned.. you can simply get a controller but you need to do some soldering of a connector to provide 12volts or 5volts from your PSU molex to the RGB controller..

the above is way cheaper.. 12volt 4pin RGB controller is less than 10bucks normally I order online which are cheaper.. china make but so long they work, who cares.. as for 5volts.. you can get it from Sim Lim Square itself.. there are shops that sell USB connected controllers at 7dollars..

now next option.. and less the hassle.. no need to do soldering.. get kits from Cosair, NXZT, Cooler Master or etc brand.. but please check to see if it's suitable for your LED Strips. ..this option is abit more expensive as some of these kit does not sell only the controller. they sell in a set.


the very very last option.. if you want to change your casing. you can get those that support RGB Lightings.. so far I only know some Phanteks and Tecware casing that does support 4 pin RGB Led strips.. 12volts, but do take note that you might need to alter the connecting ends to custom connect your RGB LED Strips. well thats what I did for a friend's casing..

so see what you've decide..

oh well... if you decided to do the DIY controller method and do not know how to soulder, I am able to help you out but do let me know roughly where you stay.. if it's near I can help but if it's too far.. then you have to meet me somewhere near my place.. I do not need you to bring any casing, just the controller and the strip will do..

In the end, I got myself a Deepcool rgb 350. Connected by Molex to psu and controller controlled lol
