Hi mods and admins,

Infractions are getting ridiculous, just because a group of people report together does not mean posts have anything wrong with them. If anything, it proves that a certain group of people are coordinating their reports. Can you guys please tell me what's so offensive about these posts??

According to @cranthir, some of us have been "abusing" reports, do these not seem like abusing reports? These posts aren't even offensive to anyone unless they prove to be true.

1. I was just agreeing with the post that I quoted, and it is a fact that the original poster of the post I was referring to did not understand context but still decided to post in the thread.

2. It is a fact that there is a script (and also that a certain group of posters will always go into certain topics to defend the ccp) behind these posts, a certain group of posters post based on a script given to them. What's wrong with pointing that out? Some examples of these scripts include China's inhalable vaccines, Ukraine should surrender because Russia invaded, and many more.

3. Again another infraction for "derail" when I was clearly on topic? What's wrong with edmwers wanting to be escorted out of the forums like Hu was? The link is clearly there (talking about the brutality of xi with sarcasm), and the posts weren't even offensive by a stretch.

4. And for this, am I supposed to not post when someone is calling my posts as an "attack"? Really? Meanwhile this post (which continues character assassination https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...-china-taiwan-tensions.6819866/post-144198444 is fine??)

To add on to this, many of my similar reports were all rejected, how is this fair? Should we keep a record of our own reports and compare them to our infractions now? I think a clear bias is shown here, and it is disgusting.

For example, one of my reports was on the thread title of: https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/us-researchers-created-80-kill-rate-covid-virus.6824284/
It is clearly misleading (80% kill rate is on MICE, not humans) and as such, spreading misinformation. We even have a @Dr.Vijay post (https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...sponsibly-to-avoid-misleading-others.6191463/) on this. However, the poster was clearly let off with a response of "pls clarify in thread for the public"... How is this remotely close to fair? Are we really gonna have to talk about this double standards thing again? Or do we need to have more POFMAs issued towards HWZ?

2 jtc officers have been convicted today for allowing contractors to cut down plot of trees in Kranji.
im wondering if there’s also a conspiracy to cut down righteous “trees” in this forum.

Hi, you can refer to my post here

https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/posts/144136599
you can also refer to my poll here in which you support us to take stricter action on such threads.

https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/6823341
in case you still do not understand, people who rather talk about other members to derail the topic and call them names will be warned.
Certainly we do not condone behavior asking people to leave the forum.

you should know what I am talking about because these are typical reports from you
Baiting and arguing, derail thread
arguing, derailing, baiting and trolling
and we have approved such similar reports from you so I do not understand the complaints.
I will be happy to list out all similar reports from you that we have approved, who and what posts you report.

To add on to this, many of my similar reports were all rejected, how is this fair? Should we keep a record of our own reports and compare them to our infractions now? I think a clear bias is shown here, and it is disgusting.

I think this is a great idea for us moderators to work on the basis of such a record because we do have such a record and I do share similar sentiment as you with regards to people who are frequent users of reporting.

They should certainly be subjected to the same standard that they report.

I think you are very clear about what I am saying

Thanks and have a good weekend.

“Certainly we do not condone behavior asking people to leave the forum.” And giving an infraction based on that? Why not do a search on “quit edmw” and mete out your “punishments” then? If that’s what you meant by stricter standards.:s13:

And also for stricter standards, I sure haven’t seen much of it tbh. And also the point which I made still stands, you cannot simply decide to give 12 points based on unknown “stricter standards”. You yourself liked that first timers should be let off with a warning without points.

As for listing out reports, why not list out those that are rejected and give an explanation? Like the post promoting Sputnik vaccines? Or the now still standing thread about an 80% kill rate covid? Or the pm where I highlighted that a few users were taking turns finger pointing and accusing me of different stuff? What kind of stricter standards are these? What should be strongly discouraged is the widespread attempts at deliberately spreading misinformation (why else did you think so many people voted with the angry face?).

And honestly for clarity not really, I think the example you gave where a user brought in family and then suggested rape is really a far cry from what I’ve posted. I have also deliberately phrased my posts in a palatable way as you suggested in that thread.

And also to add on, if you read through the context of the posts that I report, you’d realise that there isn’t much to elaborate as most of those posts really do not have much substance in them, but are used to spread an agenda. Or just arguing in general. Except the infraction that I got from replying someone calling my posts an “attack”, I don’t see any arguments in those threads. And even that was quite a stretch where the user mainly just kept on going with character assassinations whereas I was the one asking for clarity if you read through it.

As for your last point I don’t know what you think my stance on moderation is, but biased moderation is certainly not something I support. In fact that is a very slippery slope that will almost definitely turn out bad. I have stated many times that rules should be draconian and enforced throughout all users, not based on interpretation.

Moderator has clarified on the above Warnings and we always try to enforce the same rules on ALL users. You may not realize or believe it but be assured that other users are also subjected to the same rules as you are.

Moderators are given the authority to, at their discretion, deal disciplinary actions such as Warnings and infraction points for good reason. As a user, even if you disagree on the actions and decisions of our Moderators, please respect their actions and decisions.

Thank you and have a good weekend. :)
