Ridiculous Permanent Ban

Dear Moderators,

Several days back I wrote to you guys about my account Yureak being banned temporarily despite not having a warning for that offence which wasnt really an offence even just posting an informative

Samsung 840 Pro vs Sandisk Extreme 2 SSD Comparison thread in HWC instead of Storage Clinic. Instead of simply shifting the thread your moderator Commach chose to close and ban me.

Today I have reached my wits end as I have received yet another ban under the account Rellion yet again without warning for again a relevant thread. This time even more reasonable in HWC by asking experienced users when will the Z97 chipset and Asus boards be released in their opinion.

Such threads I believe are fair and informative and to enforce such bans is ridiculous at any level. I have looked through the guidelines and I believe this thread complies with them and is not considered spam. Yet I was banned for "spam"

I would sincerely appreciate a thorough investigation into this and any other practices by Commach and/or similar moderators operating in HWC as I believe such behaviour is anti-thetical to the existence of Hardwarezone.

HWZ is a friendly environment for forummers to share information and should be kept this way. As a senior member of this ecosystem since 2008, I am sorely disappointed to see the place deteriorate into such a state and would sincerely request thats laws are equally enforced against all users and moderators included.

Reason clearly given again at post #7 include an infraction which result in temporally banned for 2 weeks with the accumulation of 24 infraction points:

Thread closed for persistence posting in the wrong forum.

Warning for spamming sale thread was given on the 2nd Nov 2013. Despite this warning, you continue the spamming spree with 8 sale threads. As a result, 21 points was given and a total of 24 points with the above 3 point infraction for posting in the wrong forum despite warning. T-banned automatically triggered for the accumulation of 24 infraction points, you're banned.

Are you really banned for no apparent reasons or you are simply telling lies trying to stir **** in the forum?

Reasons for the ban given, stop behaving as if you are a saint in the forum.

If you clean forgot about the FAQ, read it again:

Multiple Accounts
HardwareZone.com does not allow users to have more than 1 account. If any user is found to have been passing off as more than 1 individual through multiple accounts in an attempt to sway/influence discussions, those accounts will be permanently banned.

With Yureak temporally banned, you boldly proceed to create clone accounts posting sale thread in IT Garage, a clear violation and make a mockery of the infraction system. All clone promptly accounts killed-on-sight without exception.

If banned member can come back with new account, what's the point of the infraction system? With the rules on the FAQ clearly stated, this account will be ban for using multiple account. For fairness and an opportunity to seek clarification, we will allowed (case-by-case basis) banned member using a new account in
Online Services & Basic Membership Support/Feedback only, not for any forum or other purposes except the aforementioned reason.

You can come back with Yureak after the 2 weeks ban period, any usage of new account will result in permanent ban of Yureak as well for using multiple accounts.

As requested by yours truly I have created an account here just to clarify this situation. I will not be posting anywhere else.

So as per your words the other accounts including the one previously used to clarify the situation were banned just for existing? I will let the words & facts speak for themselves.

Secondly, if you had bothered to read my passages clearly you would have found that I took offense with the banning of the other in your word "clone" accounts without rhyme or reason despite their use to clarify the situation here as per the passages I have written below.

Yes there were valid infractions for the sales ads that I concede, however what is the point of providing infractions if I am banned so fast I dont even get the chance to read it via PM. All the Sales ads were staggered but infracted at one shot. One second it says Welcome to HWZ, the next it says Banned so essentially I'm banned for a reason I dont even know of? Doesnt this, in your words "make a mockery" of the infraction system?

You quoted this post yourself. Read the second line, my clear intent with the repeat accounts was never to sway/influence discussions but to clarify the intent of your ban.

Thirdly, you have to remember the purpose behind these laws. There is a clear and reasonable meaning behind the laws. In this case, these guidelines are to prevent cluttering and spamming.

If I was not spamming threads in HWC and I was being informative and helpful, I in all honesty did not know that Storage Clinic or Network Clinic even existed, what is the issue? Even with my Rellion account before Unfairly, I was helping guys in HWC and was advising them on their rig configs and part differences. But of course you would rather just follow the rules and ban me blindly anyways instead of merely advising that the thread should be there and just shifting it.

I dont believe you are also one to speak in by replying to a thread about SSDs in HWC (not Storage Clinic). Where do you draw the line? If this is acceptable then why is my thread asking which SSD is better and more suitable for my use ban-worthy?

Likewise again, I will let the facts speak for themselves and I believe members here are smart enough to use their own discretion when brought in a round.

Regardless of whether you ban this account again, I am truly disappointed in your handling of the situation and I think this view if you would read is echoed greatly even by your moderator peers many of whom PM-ed me denouncing your chilidsh behaviour, whom also hardly look up to you in my EDMW thread - much less any of the other senior members and I am happy I live in the real world rather than the virtual world.

I will not resort to something as low as a personal attack by accusing you of being a hypocrite and liar but I will say that you have to be held to a higher standard as well. You are clearly lacking in the professional and calm demeanour in which that is asked of a moderator and would clearly prefer to shut people up using your powers. If you take time to explain to people nicely, you will receive much more positive results for sure.

You don't even need me to tell you people's views of your performance as a moderator. Respectfully you can read it up in the thread which I know you have as you have posted and closed my thread to shut me up.

As a moderator, the one enforcing such laws, you have to be aware of the original intent behind it and you also have to live up to it as an example. If you implicitly condone such behaviour by partaking in it as per the example above and then scrutinise others for the same, then I dont know what to say.

That said, I have copied this thread to Vijay Anand, Editor HWZ for his opinion on this matter and I look forward to hearing his view on this matter.
