Looking at some HTPC-like rig solution.
Restricting considerations
Small form-factor (similar to NAS or a little bigger)
Ability to hold 4 3.5 HDDs
No need for high processing power as main thing is video.
HDMI needed
Optional
A pci slot/space for Gigabyte's GC-WB300D card
I'm now with a mid tower solution in my living room.
Old centurion 5 casing with Cooler Master 4-in-3 module to fit the 4 HDDs, with mATX AMD FM1 board/APU.
If the prices are right, I would like to decrease the footprint.
Soldered-on processors onto boards are alright with me, ITX would be the best solution.
On a side note, are there any other ITX boards with embedded processors like the ECS NM70-I2 with USB 3.0 headers?
I'm looking to get this sort of boards paired with Fractal Design Node 304, if there's no USB 3.0 ports, the casing is crap.
