Rig for Cryptocurrency Mining

I thought of getting a special rig set up just for Crypto Mining.

What kind of hardware specs is required?

The CPU is useless really. Most crypto rigs use the cheapest CPU.

i have a friend who says he buy gtx 1080 but use to downclock the GPU ? i find it weird , any1 care to explain ? if downclock 1080 , might as well buy a lower grade gpu , but he says u get more $ for mining with 1080 and more with 1080 TI

Mining rig is not easy. I've setup two before after numerous trial and error.

The key thing to take note is the PSU and pci-e riser.

Do not evenr buy those china psu. Also, when powering up the pci-e riser, do not use any adaptor. Use direct connection like psu -> molex
