Hi,

I've been using my DIY rig for 4 years. Recently it began giving me some problems.
1. It will not be able to load sometimes. It will be stuck as the loading screen.
2. I reinstalled the OS and computer continues to hang. Now my HDD has been wiped (i think) as it says not able to find OS.

I want to know if its a HDD problem or Mobo problem if possible.
Im thinking of building a new rig, please advise which parts are safe to be reused and also please recommend me some parts. Depending on which can be reused, my budget is possible to go to 700 max?

thanks in advance

If your system cannot find the OS in your HDD, your HDD is most likely dead. Just get a new SSD for your OS and a new HDD for everything else.

Oh just like to add, during a few of the startups, it posted CMOS checksum error. Even after changing the battery, it posted the error a few times. Is it still a HDD issue?
