Rig recommendation for fps $2k budget

Hi folks,

Seeking recommendations to build a brand new rig.

$2k budget, no need for a monitor, playing on 1080p

What games you playing, what's the target fps, what's your monitor's refresh rate?

Barring that, 2k can probably get you a 5600X and maybe a 3060/3060ti if you're lucky.

Monitor is just a standard 60fps 1080p screen

Games are fps ones like squad and steam platform games

For 1080p 60fps, 3060/3060ti is plenty.
For CPU, either i5 11400, i5 10400 or 5600X, get the cheaper option.
16 GB kit of 3200MHz/3600MHz ram
650W or 750W PSU if you'd like some extra headroom

The rest of the parts are really up to you.

Just go for prebuilt alienware or lenovo. Try to get discount code. Better than hunting gpu.

what kind of price to expect for let's say 3700x/5600x RTX 3070 Builds? I see many prebuilt with low to v high range

I don't think your budget is enough for rtx 3060 card. Just settle for a gtx 1650 supper or gtx1660 super / ti.

If you're on a budget you definitely shouldn't get a 5600X. The CPU price alone will get you a 1X400+mobo, whatever-Lake. Bear in mind that that Intel equivalent of the 5600X is the 10600K. If you must get a Ryzen, then the right choice is the 3600. Even then it's more expensive than both 10400/11400 but at least still in the same budget range.
