this one sounds close to where i am heading. if i were to cut gpu budget by $50 to ~$300, there would be enough to get ryz5 3600 instead. or stick to better gpu?

I think better CPU makes sense.

Hey bro,Im going for a similar build myself but im reusing my 1050ti low profile! Did you consider an i5-9400f with a budget h310 or b365 board instead of ryzen? I just wanna know what made you choose ryzen.

Amd ryzen 5 3600
Msi b450 tomahawk max
Sapphire pulse radeon rx 5600xt
Crucial mx 500 500gb
Corsair icue 220t airflow white
Gskill trident z neo 16gb 3600mhz

Hard to make a reasonable one unless you open to get 2nd hand 1070.
1660 Super already $400
Budget MB+Ryzen 3600 also close to $400
Gaming nowadays require standard is 2*8gb, also around $130 if get from oversea
SSD get cheapo one 512gb also close to $100

Basically will exceed your budget by at least $200 if all brand new.

CPU , MB ,SSD and Ram get from taobao then can do.
Downside is no local warranty

Why choose an under power CPU and dead platform? Ryzen still can upgrade to Ryzen 4000.
