Hello. I am trying to put together a desktop.
I just want to ask, if it's possible to build a rig like this ?

Asrock B75M-DGS + i5-3470 = $334
Kingston Hyper-X 4GB RAM = $52
Samgsung 840 120 GB 2.5 inch SATA III = 90 USD = $113
WD 1 TB 3.5 inch SATA 6GB/s HDD = 64 USD = $80
Samsung ODD = $21

(EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SuperClocked = 250 USD = $315
NZXT Guardian 921 RB ATX = 60 USD = $75)
OR
(Palit GTX 760 2GB DDR5 + Thermaltake SE 630W) = $395

Win 8 OEM = $163

Total cost : $1153.

Please tell me if it's feasible for this rig to be completed. And regarding the brackets, it's really a hard choice for me to choose either of them.

Also, if it is possible. Is there any way for me to lower my cost ? I still got to buy a monitor, sadly.
Asus VS247H-P 23.6 inch Full HD LED-lit LCD monitor = 150 USD = $189.

What is your budget? And what kind of games you wanna play.

$1000~$1200 range. But i'm really trying to keep it to $1000~$1100 because of the monitor.

Just league of legends and Steam games, that's all.

get b85 price not that much difference in CPU, MOBO got many types to suit your budget. no point b75.... that socket already EOL. Unless you get 2nd hand or garage or clearance sales.

in other words, get haswell unless you get a super good deal for 3 series CPU.
Cheers and enjoy your new gaming rig.

Then is best to replace the i5-3470 to a 3350p. It is the same processor just that no integrated GPU as you can just use your standalone GPU. Best is to drop the SSD. Dont think you wanna ship over the monitor as it is gonna cost you a bomb. Just drop the SSD option and lastly you dont need a gtx760 to play some of your Steam games. A gtx660 will do the job.

Asrock B75M DGS + i5-3350p ~ $271
ADATA 4gb 1600mhz ~ $45
Hitachi 500gb Deskstar ~ $58
Leadtek gtx660 2gb ~ $268
CM 311 + FSP HEXA 500w ~ $105
Samsung ODD ~ $21
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM ~ $115
Dell s2340L 23inch ips panel ~ $215

Total $1098 Buy at tradepac. DIY

I have a bit of spare cash left and I can probably top up a little more for my processor. I'm thinking OF ASUS P8B75-M plus + i5-3470 = $360. Is it a good idea?

With that money you could have gotten yourself a MSI B85M G43 + i5-4570 ~ $356

Haswell.

But then again, I'm not interested in overclocking. Don't think I should be going for z77.
