Hi guys , just wanted to know what is the most cheapest way to RMA/ship back my NZXT x62 cooler back to NZXT to US . I've already contacted them and they just required me to ship my faulty cooler back to them and they will ship it back to me for free :)

I'm unfamiliar with this so I looked over speedpost but below 2kg $70 :s22: already . sibei expensive any more alternatives ? :)

Normal air post will do. No point shipping speed post when it is so expensive.

Normal air post is the cheapest to send back. And is around $30++ for the volumetric size.

I RMAed my NZXT X62 after failed pump through US helpdesk cuz Tech Dynamic did not have any stock.

If your Kraken is bought from a local distributor, you can RMA through Tech Dynamic...

NZXT helpdesk guy told me to destroy my Kraken X62 by cutting the pump...

Don't believe the 3 days thing...

After sending proof of destruction, it took them about 1 month to send the product out. Another 1 day for express shipping to my door-step.

Here's the convo,

Wow , didn't know got such thing one . There pump reliability quite sucks tbh . Asetek pumps tend to fail after a few months of usage only alot of people are having trouble with there pumps . I wonder why , makes me want to switch to Corsair but NZXT's AIO cooler pairs with my setup .

Just wanna ask what courier you went with when RMAing your cooler

Corsair also Asetek if I'm not wrong. Anyway, there's a post here before (by Encrypted11 I think, quoting Raja@Asus), where AIO pump best run at 100% at all time. Making it variable will shorten the life. This is recommended by Asus as well if I'm not mistaken. Those asus board with aio_pump header, by default run 100% at any temp.

I did not go with any courier. Did you read the post btw?

They ask me to destroy the cooler by cutting the pipes. Did not send it back. Just send pictures of proof that I have cut the pipes. Then they send me a new set.

Maybe TS can request in the support ticket that it is not cost effective to send back to the US due to shipment dimensions and weight, ask for alternatives. They receive already may also recycle and junk it anyway.

My bad , didn't read the pictures correctly . I can't deal with TechDynamic as my cooler is not under local warranty

I was using a H270M-Plus mobo and I've connected the header to CHA_FAN & one of the pump fans to CPU_FAN to fix the issue as I was getting CPU_Fan error . My mobo only had 1xCPU_FAN (3pin DC mode & 4pin PWM) and 2xCHA_FAN connectors so I had a bit of trouble

So I followed this tip to fix the problem

Hello Azobza,

Let me shed some light onto this for you.

Asus motherboards, limit the wattage that comes from the CPU_FAN and OPT header. From what I've read it can vary from 2-3w sometimes less depending on the motherboard. The Kraken uses 3.3w from the 3pin header to make the pump run like its supposed to. ASUS motherboards are the only ones that have this issue.

My advise, Move the 3pin header to a CHA_FAN or SYS_FAN header and disable that error in bios. That will get rid of that error and allow the Kraken to run as it should. Also, Make sure that your USB header is plugged into your motherboard too.

Maybe that setup of mine kinda ruined the cooler despite CAM making the pump run @ 100%

I'll try redoing the setup with my new Z270 mobo and connecting the headers differently like the 3-pin to CPU_Opt and maybe one of the rad fans to CHA_FAN if one of them is not recognised this time once I've recieved my RMAed cooler

Will try and talk it out with the current support ticket I have . I don't think they will accept but nevertheless I will try :)

My setup I did for my friend, is like what I mentioned, run the pump off the dedicated header if available. If not, I will connect rad fans (usually 4pin PWM) to the CPU_FAN to allow it to be controlled by CPU temps. Then for the pump header, I put to any CHA_FAN or SYS_FAN header, go to bios and tweak the fan curve manually to run 100% at all temps.

So far, not every fan works well with calibration based on my testing. I last used GT and calibrate with mobo. End up the minimum speed is too low, the fans move and stop on interval. End up, after calibration, still need to go bios tweak the minimum speed up by about 200 RPM for the fans to be steadily spinning at low speed.

Still, there's no harm in calibrating. Do calibrate them if you want, but remember increase the minimum speed a little bit on your bios or fan controller software to stabilize the fan minimum speed.

For pump header (if it's pwm) you can calibrate too if you want. A couple of times of variable pump speed during calibration won't harm. However constantly running at variable speed might be harmful though. Even with that said, I do what Asus recommend with regards with the pump speed. I believe they do much more research than me testing on a couple of system as I build them along the way.

Ask the Customer service officer if you can provide proof of destruction instead of sending it back... But yours is not a local set. Maybe a US set so their policy might require you to send it back?

Update guys , went to singpost earlier and they told me parcel is above 2kg must apply for speedpost with a fixrate of S$116 :s22: 10-14 days will reach .

Any one has other courier recommendation , I'm enquiring DHL

Wow. $116 is too much. You don't have to include the Fans right? Only the radiator and pump, one set to be sent in should be ok le. That one still weigh over 2KG?

Previously, I have asked DHL, UPS and Speedpost for quotating to send a package that was less than a KG to my cousin in US. Cheapest was still Singpost (slowest too). You can always call or email them for quote but I doubt you'll get anything cheaper than Singpost.

Yep . Have to send to it back cuz not local .

If i were you, I would forget about getting a replacement if the cost for shipping is going to be about half of a new unit.

I would just buy an Air-cooler for that cost of shipping and have same performance cooling, less hassle since they don't break down that easily....

Btw, I have received my x62 replacement from US already, going to sell it off since I am happy with an air-cooler, the Cryorig R1 Ultimate.
