5% DR - 9.95%
7% DR - 13.39%
9% DR - 15.81%
11% DR - 17.43%
13% DR - 18.82%
15% DR - 21%
17% DR - 22.26%
19% DR - 23.37%
21% DR - 24.75%

Stashaway high gold portion seems to help when US equities is now down due to US-Iran issues.

That's the purpose of gold, since it's generally counter-cyclical mah. When stocks are doing well, gold tends to suffer, but it helps insulate some of the downside when stocks tank since gold will help carry a bit (which is why I prefer stashaway's makeup instead of syfe, even though syfe might give higher returns on average). I'm more on the risk-averse side of things.

Yeah. Few days ago I was very tempted to change my risk level as my portfolio gold portion was -5% while equities was +5-10%

After the gold rally last week. Now gold has break even and is currently bullish trend.

I am doing some research on estate tax for roboadvisor. Saw a question posted at seedly on estate tax for us assets.

The U.S. imposes a 40% estate tax rate on U.S. assets above a $60,000 exemption threshold on assets of the deceased nonresidents.

Is this true for US listed ETF?

I believe should be the same for ETF. This is always a question I can't get a definite answer, not only Robot but also other similar investment invokes US tax. I asked SCB before as understand what their cash account shares brought are not under our name, still they couldn't answer but direct me to my own Tax specialist.

You are not facing any issues with estate tax in the case of Syfe and Stashaway. Due to their fund management license they are operating with an omnibus structure, therefore US estate tax are not applicable.

US estate tax will only be applicable for companies such as Autowealth who work with a Financial Advisor license.

What about US estate tax (i.e. does it apply?) for US stock or US-domiciled ETF bought through a broker such as FSMOne, SCB or Interactive Brokers?

It only takes a minute to search for their license type on MAS website, then you can know already..

How is the mas license held by the companies related to the question of US Estate Tax? I am confused.

Syfe and Stashaway are fund management companies. It's similar to the setup of a ultra-high-net-worth individual who would hold her/his US equities through a legal entity, the legal entity is alive even when s/he passes on and therefore no US estate tax.

Collection of NRIC

Hi All,

Can anyone advise about the rationale and safety with SYFE and Stashaway asking for copies of my NRIC?

Is it safe for me to provide the copy to them? Sorry about being mountain tortoise for asking this.
