Sfye seem to be doing better in this current downturn climate as compared to stashaway, my profit for stashaway for the past 4 mth totally disappeared and into loss now after ytd crash.

Yes, I do believe Syfe will date better for long term downturn especially for the COVID situation. But in the long run it may not be as great. End if the day it comes down to if you prefer "cut losses" or "hold and carry on"

When you login to syfe about 3pm, it shows yesterday's value if im not wrong. So it lags 1 day. So got to compare apple to apple for stashaway

US stock market only opens at 9pm, so they cannot have same day data at 3pm (stock market not even open...). But I also have observed that they always update around 2-3pm.

I think for stashaway is the same, or do they show yeserday's stock market with today's date?

Yes, Syfe's algorithm may be good during a downturn, but I have a feeling when the market rebounds eventually and I assume it'd be pretty fast, the algo will not be able to catch the uptrend in time and we will see it outperformed by Stashaway by quite a bit.

Like ****. Losing shitloads with syfe. More than what was "max risk tolerance"
Care to elaborate more? Whats your downside risk?

Are you looking at the value after -10% drop in EU and US? If so wait for it to be updated 1 more day later.

I think momentary drop out of max downside risk is acceptable due to sudden 10% drop in equities.

Downside risk is not daily. Its for the next 12 months

Set at 5%. Loss close to 7%

Yup robo did pretty bad this round

Hi i commented before dont use highest risk for comparison. The risk/reward is not as good as lower downside risk.

Would be good if you use 19 or 21% for syfe which is moderate aggressive

And to clarify, although it did bad, did robo do worse than the market?

Im at 21% risk for syfe. Currently down 9%. Happy with how they rebalance during this market volatility.

If 7% is shitloads to you, you really need to re-evaluate your risk appetite...
LoL but 5% is already the lowest risk one can go in Syfe. The next lower is money in milo tins hide under the bed liao.

That's why i put it at the minimum which is 5%. And i put it with Syfe which markets their algo which looks at downside risk first before return. I mean if i put my max downside risk at 5% only to lose 7% or more then what's the point of even having a downside risk?

From their website

Simply put, a 15% Downside Risk portfolio will not lose more than 15% of its current value over the next twelve months in 39 out of every 40 years.

Therefore it is not at any instant it does not go below your downside risk. You have misunderstood.
