I am surprised you all treat it as some luxury item. I treat mine as another tool watch. :D

To be honest Rolex watches (with the exception of some references like the Daytona & Sky Dweller) are not that spectacular. Rolex is a mass market, mass produced, working man’s luxury watch brand. The really pieces are those coming from Haute Horlogerie watch brands like Patek Philippe, A Lange & Sohne, F.P. Journe & Audemars Piguet etc. Not only are they technically more impressive, they’re also finished and decorated by hands and are a lot rarer in the market unlike the mass produced Rolex.

holy trinity of luxury watches are AP, PP and VC. Rolex is so far down the line, only reason why it's ex is due to marketing hype. Omega also same but i like cos James Bond.

It's a luxury brand, but the artificial scarcity maintained and politics played by Rolex and their ADs just gives it a low SES feel.

This kinda hard truths don't say out loud.

Fanboys will sure tekan you say you jelly, no money etc etc.

I personally don't understand how the affluent people want to mix it up with the low ses. You wear 20k rolex, people wear 200 bucks rolex, no one can tell the difference, not a waste of money meh?

rolex having fakes have no direct implication its no longer a luxury brand.

in fact having fakes prove the original have certain market value else ppl wont bother to have the supply or demand.

Rolex is spoilt by the fake supply scarcity and the games AD play.

It's like you queuing up for a famous hawker and paying them money to scold you

So your money is better spent on other brands where the buying experience is more pleasant
