I've recently change my router to ASUS RT AC56S. Only problem is that it blocks access to star wars: the old republic(give some error whenever i try to log in, not the game's fault). Tried using Hotspotshield or 4g tether from my phone and im able to log in. I am unable to access webpages like http://manifest.swtor.com/patch/patcher.patchmanifest. Ive disabled all the firewalls.

By right this router will not block any site at all as it does not have Trend Micro in it. Can call ASUS support hotline. If you are sure it is router faulty just bring it down to ASUS Router service centre for one to one exchange.

i updated the router. M1 called back and mentioned there was something wrong with the ip addresses starting with 118,119 about the connection to swtor.

There is something wrong with the website.
Don't think it is your router or ISP issue.

Its not 118,119.

Its 118.189. It is blocked by EA Sports. M1 has previously contacted them numerous times but they don't reply at all.

The reason why it is block is probably EA sports uses a old GEO-LOCATION-to-IP database, which points the 118.189 range to China, and they block all china IPs from connecting to the server.

DNSes won't work/help here because it is the WAN IP that is being blocked here.

Only when using a proxy/telling M1 to remove your static IP, then you can access.

Thou, take note that once removed u cannot get it back, unless u willing to pay $2.14 per month.
