i feel there is a terrible flaw with Singapore's education system, they prioritise international students to local students.

I'm actually a current Year 3 RP student who got via Direct Admission Exercise 2 years ago.

Played too much during Nitec days, where my Nitec GPA miss by the entrance point by alittle. Min Entry point for Nitec is GPA3.5 while i got GPA3.483 including 0.2 cca points. Nevertheless, they still accepted me into SOI course after seeing my portfolio of representing ITE in numerous IT competition.

The reason why Polytechnics prioritize O Level student more is because O Level student have not learn any skills while ITE student had equipped with the basic skills and knowledge in ITE to prepare them for the workforce.

To be frank, the chances of getting in via Direct Admission Exercise is relatively low as this year application is competitive. Pray hard somebody drop out (perhaps transfer to other polytechnics) by end of Thursday, then RP will fill in the vacanies via Direct Admission Exercise's application.

Cheers.

Hey man. I'm a Singapore PR with International Qualifications. Do you know that International Students have to wait for a year to get into Poly, while you guys just have to wait for like 3-4 months? Do you know how much things they go through?

I left my boarding school after three years. The saddest part is that I made a decision from the bottom of my heart saying that I'll never go back there ever! I didn't want to, but there were more cons than pros. It feels terrible. I lost touch with school or friendships or education for a year! I stayed at home, watching comedy shows that made me laugh no more!

I'm not here to pick up a fight. RP's given me the opportunity to get one more chance. You seem nationalistic, and I respect that. But in the end, we're all one.

Wow hi! Which course are you in?

Your course's Programme Chair (a.k.a Course Manager) will be Ngiam Kee Jang. One of the SOI discipline commitee. One piece of advise, don't mess with him as he is quite strict.

During Year 1 Semester 1 for DBA student, you will take these 5 modules:
• C105 Introduction to Programming - focusing on Python language
• C109 IT in Business Processes
• A113 Mathematics
• G101 Cognitive and Problem Solving
• B102 Organisation Behaviour.

On a side note, majority of RP examinations are open-booked and computer-based exam. Don't expect the MSA and ESE paper to be too simple as it is an open book exam. Open book exam tends to be challenging as they purely test you on your understanding.
