msia version using drone to giv bird eye view

what they could do is build MRT and highway along side the MRT (like current causeway) to the new structure.

then once it's up, divert all traffic to the new highway. then they can repair the old highway, expand it or even make it underground so that vessels can pass.

ultimately, we can have 3 links to malaysia. woodlands side got 2, tuas side got 1.

cars/ motors can use the one that go along with mrt while heavy trucks / buses use underground one. this will help a lot in reducing congestion.

Actually to think about it, this RTS Link resembles the earlier Boon Lay MRT Extension, which was constructed from 2005 to 2008 (4 years), and comprising of 2 stations and 3.8 kilometers of track.

RTS Link comprises of 2 stations, 4 kilometers, and one depot.

The significant difference between the two is that the EWL is driven manually, whereas the RTS Link would be automated. Therefore would require more time to do testing and commissioning.

RTS Link construction officially started in 2021. 2021 to 2024 construction seems about right.

And considering RTS Link is automated, definitely need one year to install the signaling systems and do the testing and commissioning works. This would probably span the entire 2025.

Therefore, high chance, early 2026 opening. Which would be earlier than the announced end 2026 opening, if really the case.

Looks like the chance of prata flipping is is very low , given the commitment in the project. Looks like them voting for Anwar was the right choice. SG, especially Woodlands bussinesses will die standing.

They should be able to complete the spans by the end of 2024, and the buildings by mid-2025. The installations should start in early 2025 and up by mid-2026. Normally, they won't rush such big projects too much.

Now till 31 December 2024 still got 21 weeks and 5 days.

The section over the causeway started construction in June. It has been two months (Jun, Jul). Can say, about one-third completed.

At this rate, would need another four months to complete, which is just nice: December 2024. (Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov).

In fact, the other sections of the viaducts that remain to be completed, should be able to mostly complete within the next four months, and fully complete by 31 December 2024 (left only the walls haven’t install finish, but the segments all laid up).

Realistically, if like that count, by 31 March 2025, definitely the viaduct construction will be fully completed with the walls all installed finish, and probably tracks also around 1/3 or halfway installed already.

Testing and commissioning should be able to begin at July 2025. And since need one year, we can expect the passenger service to begin in July 2026.

With that, the above estimation should be more realistic.

I like your optimism 😜

SG side always chop chop very fast
JBee side :s22:
Ours is underground, that’s why can’t really see much, but nonetheless still a lot of things to construct.

In fact, going underground is obviously to equilibrium MY and SG contribution.

In the end costs is like MY contribute about 40%, SG contribute about 60%.

Sorry, really want to stand up for Singapore.

When the RTS Link is ready for passenger service eventually, the amount of space at Singapore RTS Link station and CIQ should be quite massive. Should be equivalent to all the MY RTS Link viaducts and MY RTS Link buildings combined together, and more by 20%.

So don’t just look at surface and make conclusion. I know MY very good at marketing. But SG really got the composition one.

But have composition so what? I tio labelled, in the end tio left out….

Anyway. Really just want to stand up for Singapore no matter what. Singapore really contribute a lot to RTS Link, in fact probably more than Malaysia contribution to RTS Link.

Money changer should be fine. Can survive on the unprepared people who don't have enough currency. Not sure about handphone shops as I never brought HP from Malaysia before.
