Based on benchmarks I've seen, 2080 only beats 2070 in most titles by around 10-20 fps yet the price difference is almost double. Means 2080 is already not worth to get now?

2070 is the oddball here. Most would get the 2060 or the 2080.

This is expected. Price-Performance has always been logarithmic in nature. You always pay a lot more for that little bit more after the point of diminishing returns (Usually xx70 cards and above).

i think it boils down to budget leh. every card will be like that one, just a bit of performance difference.

and what games you play? if you don't play gpu intensive games, you don't need any of the rtx 2070 or 2080.

2060 is also only 10-20fps more that the 1660ti

And that makes the 2070 even more irrelevant.

1660ti/2060 for 1080p gaming
2080 for 1440p and above.

So where does the 2070 lie then?

Just my opinion :o

Looking to play bf5 on ultrawide 1440p, hence not sure if 2080 is worth additional $400 above.

RTX 2060 or Vega 56/64( Vega on promo)

Asus strix Vega 56 is at $499, 64 is $5XX, if u want the Vega 64 lobang PM me

Both 2070/2080 is really just pointless

2080ti.... i mean if you "consider" buying 2080ti your like the 0.5% already, just buy dont think

Currently playing division 2 with gtx 1080 FE is the rtx2070 worth to switch over in terms of performance?

Google for rtx 2070 reviews. It is very close to 1080 that it is considered as sidegrade.

You should consider if it is worthwhile just for the sake of improve FPS, that does not improve your overall experience in the game. For example, if the game is anyways running smoothly, i.e. above 60 FPS, then getting a RTX 2070 may nab you say 10 to 20 FPS more, which I don't really think will make a huge difference. And as some has mentioned, the improvement is not great, so you are paying significantly more for marginal improvements.

I was considering to switch over from 1080FE too and the guys over at SLS echoed the same; I'm just side-grading and should get a 2080Ti as upgrade.

However, 2080Ti is way out of my budget and I settle for a 2nd hand 1080Ti instead.

I’m using the 2080 too for bfv and division 2 is able to achieve ok fps >120 at 1440p with ultra settings

2080 drop price and is now $1500/ yeah?

should get the 2080ti which is way better and future proof :flash:

Can one.. I play bf5 on Asus RTX 2080 OC edition.. easily >120 fps @ 1440p, settings all maxed out, rt on.

I always have doubt about this. If one is looking to upgrade from GTX 1080 to a RTX 2070, it is more of an impulse buy than a legit need. While RTX 2080 Ti will still be capable even next year, I am pretty sure the impulse will come back again if Nvidia releases their 7nm GPU next year. Also the leap from 16nm to 7nm will see some good improvements over the current RTX line, so I see no need to upgrade to the RTX series if one is already having a capable GPU.
