RTX 2080 or RTX 2070 for VR

Hey guys, is RTX 2070 sufficient to support VR gear like oculus new VR gear or battlefield 5?

RTX2080 seems expensive to me so might consider RTX2070 and where is the best platform to buy?

Actually 1080Ti performance seems similar to 2080 with lower power consumption.

2080's selling point is raytracing support but nVidia still hasn't released the FPS range when raytracing is used - some suspect it's barely touching 60 FPS at this stage.

Driver optimisations will probably help in due time but if you're going for high FPS gaming perhaps a good idea to buy a cheaper and more efficient 1080 Ti now and wait 1-2 generations for RTX series to mature.
