Really RIP to those quickly sell their 2080Ti lol
other loss, our gain

I am not impressed. ~33% faster than 2080ti..and this thing sucks over 300w
Really RIP to those quickly sell their 2080Ti lol
You shouldn't be, wait for big Navi. If AMD deliver the claimed power efficiency then its >20% faster than RTX2080TI at the same power consumption of the RX 5700 XT. The power efficiency champ is going to be RDNA2.
Nvidia is really pushing Ampere to it's max here.
These kinds of consumption numbers really show it.
Actually if based on performance per watts..the RTX 3080 is more power efficient than any previous gen cards.

I really feel for those RTX 2080 Ti owners that got played out by Nvidia 2x. First Nvidia caused a panic by declaring 2x performance over RTX 2080, which caused the panic selling. Now people realized that it is about 25% faster on average, but they have already sold their cards at a massive loss.
Just keep the 2080 TI, ignore any new tech news and continuing enjoying your high end graphics gamingI really feel for those RTX 2080 Ti owners that got played out by Nvidia 2x. First Nvidia caused a panic by declaring 2x performance over RTX 2080, which caused the panic selling. Now people realized that it is about 25% faster on average, but they have already sold their cards at a massive loss.
Just one thing to note though, this card seems to be bottlenecked by CPU. So there is a potential that it can run faster when paired with a Zen 3 or Rocket Lake processor.
Nvidia is under no obligation to treat GPUs as an investment vehicle.
If a customer is expecting to recoup 80% or more of the money they paid for a GPU after using it for 1-2 years, that's just entitlement.
actually 3080 no big leap over 2080 ti?
I assuring myself my 2080ti still good right?
thanks bro..If you don't feel that the games you play is lagging, then you should know the RTX 2080 Ti still works for you.
There is no chance that GPU can be an investment in the first place as they are expected to depreciate as they age. I've never seen GPU price appreciating under normal circumstances. And I believe people who are tech enthusiasts should understand this.
In this case, it is normal for last gen cards to depreciate in value with the new cards. However what Nvidia presented when they unveiled the RTX 3xxx series sent their customers (people who bought expensive RTX 2xxx) into a panic mode to sell. You would have the perception that its going to be super duper quick as compared to the RTX 2080 Ti. When the reality hit us, the performance is indeed faster, but quite a distance from what we perceived. So those who sold in panic/ desperation, realized that they probably undervalued their RTX 2080 Ti/ Super. I am sure this will frustrate some of these RTX 2080 Ti owners.
